about the artist

Hello!

Kristina Kosutova is a self-taught watercolor artist and illustrator from Slovakia, but based in Brno, Czech republic.

Creating has always been her first language. Growing up sketching the small worlds around her was essential, and that gentle way of observing eventually led her through art school and into architecture. But somewhere between expectations and intuition, she realized what she truly wanted was simpler: to connect, to slow down, and to create with honesty.

Watercolor gave her that space. A simple palette in the first year of university became the beginning of everything — a place to breathe, notice, and return to herself. She did not had a teacher to teach her paint, she just followed what was felt right, one painting at the time, slowly building the skills.

By 2025, life reminded her to pause and choose the softer path, and she chose to follow it. Gradually she started exploring also other techniques and styles, not just staying with watercolor.

If the work brings you calm, joy, or a moment of stillness, then she is doing exactly what she meant to do.

With love, Kristina

If my work speaks to you, I’d be honored to create something just for you.

Whether you’re seeking a custom watercolor, a meaningful gift, artwork for your home, or a creative collaboration, I’m always open to connect.

Every commission begins with a gentle conversation — about your idea, the feeling you want to capture, the colors you love, and the story behind it. From there, I’ll guide you through the process with care and clarity.

If you’d like to bring a piece of this quiet, poetic world into your space, I’d love to hear from you.
